Background

In 2024, Gecina is partnering with Accenta to reduce the energy costs and climate impact of its Cèdres residence, located in Ville d’Avray (92), comprising 555 housing units spread over 9 buildings.

With the residence’s gas boilers reaching the end of their life, Gecina wants ao decarbonized, renewable and financed heating solution for these homes, as part of its CAN0P-2030 CO2 emissions reduction plan.

Gecina’s major challenge is to ensure the comfort of residents and that the work has a minimal impact on their daily lives.

Customized solutions from Accenta

The field study confirms the possibility of drawing on the geothermal energy available under the buildings to be decarbonized.

The chosen geothermal system includes the installation of:

✅ A field of 69 geothermal probes at a depth of 300 m

✅ 1 geothermal heat pump

✅ Replacement of the distribution network

The efficiency of the installation is ensured by the intelligent solution Respilot, a learning and predictive regulation software, to guarantee long-term performance.

Accenta tiers finances the installation and has committed through a heat network contract, with a renewable energy share greater than 50%.

Customer benefits

The use of geothermal energy driven by artificial intelligence has significantly transformed consumption and the energy bill as well as the customer’s carbon impact.

✅ Substantial energy savings

✅ An 86% reduction in CO2 emissions, or nearly 1,800 tonnes of CO2 saved each year compared to traditional gas heating (i.e. 3.5 tonnes of CO2 eq per household*)

✅ The temporary mobilization of part of the car park for the installation of the probe field and the installation of the rapid boiler room to minimize the impact on residents

✅ A personalized management interface, accessible remotely on PC and smartphone, to monitor consumption and the comfort of the spaces concerned

✅ An attractive tax system for tenants thanks to the framework of the heat network contract
