In 2023, AXA (a French international group specializing in insurance and asset management) and PRD (a major player in logistics and tertiary real estate) are calling on Accenta to decarbonize 18,000 m² of warehouses.

The objectives for these tertiary buildings located between Lyon and Grenoble are ambitious:

✅ Replace the gas solution (fossil fuel) with non-polluting, high-performance energies

✅ drastically reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions without sacrificing thermal comfort

✅ Bring the site into compliance with climate standards

Tailor-made solutions from Accenta

The 2 clients have opted for geostorage, which involves drawing on the natural heat available in the building’s basements.

The project calls for the installation of the following elements:

✅ A 5,800 m geothermal probe field (39 probes 125 m deep)

✅ 2 geothermal heat pumps

✅ 1 aerothermal heat pump

✅ Class A BMS in compliance with BACS decree

Customer benefits

Clean, unlimited geothermal energy brings financial, regulatory and climate benefits:

✅ A significant reduction in energy consumption (-72%), energy bills (-56%) and CO2 emissions (-92%) without loss of comfort

✅ Compliance with the BACS decree (obligation to install an automated building management system [GTB])

✅ Anticipation of the reductions in energy and carbon consumption imposed by the tertiary sector decree (-40% in 2030, -50% in 2040 and -60% in 2050)

✅ An increase in the real estate value of the site

✅ An eco-responsible image that can be promoted as part of the 2 companies’ CSR communications

Fossil fuel costs, climate, regulations, it's all heating up!
